My dogs just seem to ‘wolf down’ their food. I worry that they are eating to fast and will get sick. Last night, I gave the girls their supper in these fun food toys. Lulu has a purple bottle. This is her second bottle. She broke the first one by throwing it down the stairs to get the food out (she is so smart). Now I have gotten smarter: I put the gate up so they can’t throw things down the stairs anymore. To get the food out, Louise has to pull the string just a certain way. I love to watch her pick the whole thing up and drop it down.
Sofie has a blue food cube. She has to roll the cube around just right for the food to come out. This cube ends up in some pretty strange places. It was lost for a month under the den couch. I looked everywhere, but somehow it got there.
This game slows their eating down a lot and also gives them about 30 minutes of play time. The only trouble is that when they were done with the bottle and the cube… they went to their bowls and wanted to know where dinner was!

I am sure that I have told you that The Muffin Man likes to sleep in my purse. It seems to be a coveted item on the kitchen table lately. Well Miss Constance Kitty did not like the idea that Muffy was getting the best seat in the house and you can imagine what she had to say about it. I guess I will have to start carrying multiple pocketbooks. Just another dogdaz morning at the zoo ❤

I was looking for something in my office this morning and I came upon this scarf with baseballs on it. I think that someone gave it to Louise when she was very little. Well, since it would no longer fit her and it looked way to boyish for Miss Lulu Belle anyway, I put it on Nine. He looked very handsome for a minute. Then he proceeded to eat it. It is funny to me how some animals act in a way that I think is so typical to their gender (or maybe I am projecting), but Nine is ‘such a boy!’ And I am loving every minute of him.

Perspective is very important. How you see things, how you view your world. I notice that the animals like to look at the world right side up, up side down, and sometimes, even sideways. I notice that when I am trying to see something differently, I squint my eyes, and it helps me get a clearer view. I like to get down on a child (or animal) level so I can see things from their perspective. When is the last time you laid in the grass and looked up at the world? Changing how I view things, sitting in a different spot then usual, stopping at the top of the stairs and looking up instead of down, all help me reboot how I see things. Personally, I like a new view every once in a while.

Louise’s ear infection is back with a vengeance. I feel so bad for her because she tries to scratch her head off. We went to see Dr. Kate to find out what we need to do THIS time. Three different ear drops later, we are starting back on the 2X a day treatment. She is such a good girl and though she hates having me clean her ears, she rolls on her back and lets me do what I have to. Well, this spring is sure starting hard for my babies but they still want to play outside and enjoy eating the fresh sweet grass of spring.
