It always amazes me how the plants just seem to ‘pop’ all of a sudden. This April, here in the Mid-Atlantic, we had a record snow fall, record cold, and record heat. I am glad to report, though cooler than normal temperatures overall this month, ‘spring has sprung!’ As you can see reflected in my front door.

Poor Sofie Bear has been struggling terribly with seasonal allergies this spring, and I keep her on a daily dose of Benadryl, which seems to be helping. She has this incredible sense of self preservation, on days when the pollen is maximum strength (like last Friday) she refused to go outside (smart girl). As I write this we are thankfully having a light rain, which maybe will bring the pollen count down. Until I moved to the Mid-Atlantic my animals never suffered from seasonal allergies, but it appears that this is a really bad area for both humans and pets.
One thing I know for sure is that this too shall pass, I just hope for Sofie’s sake it is sooner, rather than later.

Lovely pictures in a lovely season, besides of course the Pollen 😦 My neighbours cat is allergic to Pollen too. He was treated every year with injections of the vet, but it came back constantly, so my help was ask and I began to treat him with Homeopathic remedies and there’s no sign of allergy untill now, so that’s a good sign. It’s terrible so see them suffer. All the best for Sofie 🙂

I’m working with Classical Homeopathy so it depends on the symptoms and other specific signs animals show, what you have to give them. For example: when one animal has tears running and the other one doesn’t, we give different medicine.
When you want to try homeopathic medicine, you can use a complex-medicine especially for Pollinosis and give the children dosage. In these kind of medicines you find different kinds of medicines that are intended on bronchial tubes and other specific symptoms of pollen-alllergy and they’re a good help against this terrible disease.

Sofie is such a smart girl. Mom has more allergies than I do, thank goodness, so she sprays her throat and we go out and have fun.

Poor Sofie…allergies are like evil gremlins, hope the Benadryl will help you. Sometimes I have allergic reactions to special kinds of grass, so we try to avoid this areas in spring…

I get those itchys too! Whew! It can get bad sometimes. I get benadryl too. But recently my special acupuncture vet did a magic thing that helped the best of anything ever! He asked the Mom Person to bring in a little bag of stuff from our vacuum cleaner. Yuck! And then he just held it on my back for a little while. That was it! And I didn’t itch at all for a month! So now he does it whenever I go in for a back treatment. He says we can do it at home too, I just have to stay in for awhile afterwards. You might try it!

Need to understand more about that? Mom is actually allergic to the stuff in the vacuum monster (dust mites), but she will do anything to make us feel better.
