Growing up, Mom had Gerbils and a cat. Sometimes that cat would manage to get a baby Gerbil out of the cage to play with. She was a hunting cat, but she never harmed the Gerbils she took out to play with. She always brought them to Gramma who would scream, signaling Mom to get that Gerbil back in the cage! She never took a fish from the aquarium, though.

Hahahaha – this kitchen tank is pretty calm, but Nine sits on the big one in the living room and waits for the active fish in there who like to jump. He hasn’t caught one yet. Noel just likes to watch. Interesting Gerbil story. Amazed she did not eat them.

Mr. K won’t allow us to have cats in The Scottie House but we made sure to stuff stockings for each of our kitty nieces and nephews (who happened to look quite dapper in their Christmas bows – see here: http://scottiemom.com/2013/12/29/unlikely-gifting/).
