I was looking out the kitchen window, checking on the Bluebird box, and instead of a Bluebird, I had an unexpected visitor: a Pileated Woodpecker.
It doesn’t seem like anyone has wanted to move into the Bluebird box this season, but I will absolutely take a friendly Woodpecker sighting any day.

we love woodpeckers… theybring good luck, because they knock on wood all the time ;O)
