Sofie was very overwhelmed by the whole hubbub of Christmas.  All this paper flying from gifts.  People all gathered around.  New dog toys: a beaver with a waterbottle inside, a pull toy, and a giant bone.  But, she would rather have Louise’s skunk with the waterbottle inside.  They ripped apart the beaver and gutted it in about 15 minutes.  Soft toys don’t last long around here.  I used to never give my dogs soft toys.  I did not want them to confuse them with the kid’s stuffed animals.  So dogs had bones and rubber toys.  But that all changed when V bought Louise a soft toy and she really liked it last year, so I gave it a try.  But Lulu doesn’t destroy them, but Sofie does.  Sofie is an expert at getting out the stitching on even the tough firehose (shouldn’t be able to chew through) toys.  And then when you have 2 dogs pulling on opposite ends…  I think they had lots of fun.  They were not big fans of their new Holiday scarves that they got from Aunt and Uncle, but I made them wear them for a while anyway. It is not a regular dogdaz afternoon, it is better, because it is Christmas!
