Quiet day here at the zoo. Sofie seems back to her normal crazy puppy self. She loves to run, jump, bark at everything that moves and nothing is going to stop her! I am so happy, but I am going to keep her on the DuraMaxx for another couple of days and then see how she does without it. She wants to play but all the other animals want to take their midday naps. She is whining and has brought me her lovey, ‘Beaver.’ I bought Beaver for Louise the day that I brought Sofie home but somehow it became Sofie’s inseparable toy. Whenever she is tired or whiny, she goes and gets Beaver. Sometimes she brings it to people she just met to show that she likes them (my interpretation of her actions at any rate). She gets Beaver and takes him downstairs to her kennel when she wants to go to sleep at night too. Beaver is one of those stuffingless soft toys. Well, Ry is back on a plane to school in Florida, K and V are out, and C is doing her AP English holiday homework (‘Heart of Darkness’ by Joseph Conrad – I do not envy her), so maybe I will finish cleaning my office before I have to start working in it again on Tuesday (if I ever get off this computer.) Thank goodness both dogs have settled down now and are on their bed on my office floor taking a nap. Just another dagdaz afternoon.
