I got a comment yesterday telling me that if I wanted more people to follow my blog I should not use such vanilla titles as ‘Dogs and Their Toys.’ That I should go see what people on yahoo and other sites were saying so that I could spice stuff up. Well, I replied to the nice helpful person and told them basically – “I like vanilla.” I write this blog for you to read, because I enjoy the connection to other animal lovers around the world, and because I really really really enjoy doing it. (Did I mention I really enjoy doing this?) I did not do it to attract viewers or try to see how many followers I could get. Actually, I did not really understand the whole follower thing when I started. I just liked reading about other people’s animals (especially dogs and cats) and also I like looking at great art of all types (which the internet is such a good vehicle for). I think I was kind of offended that someone, though probably not meaning to offend, would tell me I needed to spice things up. I am a ‘no-spice’ person. Really… ask my family. When I go out to eat, I have to tell them to keep all that spicy stuff far away from my food. Even pepper. Simple, easy going, straightforward, and plain, works just fine for me. My Mom always said (may she rest in peace), “If they don’t come, they don’t have to go home,” so I guess I will update that to social media speak and say. “If they don’t like, they don’t have to unlike.” Thank you, dear Reader, for getting this far and tolerating my very simple rants. I appreciate everyone that watches the antics of DogDaz and comes back day after day, for the vanilla. Maybe tomorrow I could add some nuts or sprinkles – but not likely.
Just another dogdaz morning at the very boring vanilla zoo ❤

Hahahahaha, you don’t have to defend your penchant for vanilla 🙂 Vanilla is cool! You reach the people you want to reach – that is the important thing.

We love this post. Dogs rule as they are. When we are good dogs we get vanilla ice cream cups from our humans. What’s wrong with vanilla?

P.S.- Good photo of the dogs. They look ready for anything.
