There is nothing like lazing on a fine sunny day. Louise just loves to sit in her spot on the deck and take in all the warmth of the day, 
Sofie finds a nice cool hole to lie in somewhere under the trees (just like Squash used to). Don’t you wish sometimes you could have a dog’s life?
Just the other day I was thinking about how lucky I am. Though I work way to many hours, I have great friends and family, a ton of silly animals, have food to my hearts content, and am blessed with feeling safe in my home and surroundings. If I were a dog, I would probably want the same things (well maybe not the work part). I guess maybe I do have a dog’s life after all, with just a different kind of herd to tend. Well, I think I will go lie on the deck.

My Henry loves nothing more than to sit on our patio with the sun beaming on him. It is the most relaxing part of the day for him.

Lulu has the right idea. I love the sun! We don’t have a deck, so sometimes I flop down in the middle of the street to catch some rays and asphalt heat. Mom watches for cars and drags me out of the way before I get run over.

Our humans always say they want to come back as dogs… Guess we can sort of see their point but I think they forget just how tiring it is to protect the house, sniff every corner and lie in the sun… Still, we’re not complaining 🙂

I definitely always wish my dogs and I could swap lives for a day. They can go out to work and earn a living and I can enjoy the luxury of a much loved canine life 🙂

Louise looks exactly like my first dog, Penny. She was a Lab mix but looked completely like a black Lab. Animals sure do know how to live! 🙂
