The days are starting to really warm up. Under ‘Big Tree’ is the best place to be when it gets like that. The dogs really like to run around but when they are done they dig little holes in the dirt/sand and just lie there for a really long time. That is the beauty of being a house dog. Louise and Sofie really do not have any chores like farm dogs do, herding and protecting. They aren’t expected to help with anything like seeing-eye dogs or service dogs. They are not trained to save a life or sniff out drugs or contraband. They just have to do a few tricks, laze around, and look cute. Grabbing shade on a hot afternoon is a wonderful way to do nothing. Spoiled, my dogs, No Way!

Shade? What’s shade? I like the blazing hot sun. When it makes me pant and gets my black spots burning, I like it even more. When the blacktop burns my feet, I lie down and let it burn my belly. Then in a little while, Mom ties me to a cinder block under a tree. *sigh* bye sun… See you tomorrow….
