It has been really hot these days. Mommy says that the spring was the hottest on record. I am not sure what that totally means but I know that we are walking earlier and earlier in the morning because it is cooler. I like to sit in the sun. Hotter the better for me, for a little while, because Mommy makes me come in. She worries that I will overheat. I drink a lot of water I think, so I am not sure why she worries. But Mom’s do, I guess. Sofie likes to lie in the shade. She pants a lot and prefers to go inside the house in the air conditioning. She is a wimp. Heat me up sunshine!

I’m with you, LuLu! I LOVE sunshine. Sometimes on our walk, I flop down in the middle of the street. Mom has to stop short and watch for cars while I warm my belly on the asphalt. We are a couple of hot potatoes!

Black holds the heat so Lulu probably warms up faster than you do. But I’m with Lulu, I don’t care much for the heat! 🙂

Actually, it is the other way around. Lulu loves the heat on her black fur. I make her come in anyway. LOL

It is hot here too Lulu and we too are walking early in the morning. Tall person told me that there is a saying that “Only mad dogs and Englishmen walk in the midday sun”. He is English and I am a dog but we both know how dangerous it can be to walk in the hot sun.
