Love those dogs but we will never have one as their lifespan is so short, mom couldn’t bear that.

Really? I wonder why. I know that it is so hard to deal with the loss of loved furries, but the joy they give me is so much that I accept the reality that they move on much quicker than I. I have had 30 animals in my life, each special and I am better for having loving each of them. 🙂

Mom has had a ton of pets but those super large dogs she loves but can’t bear such a short time. Any pet can pass on early but knowing from day one that life is short is just too much. If one ended up at our home, we would love it like any other but we couldn’t choose that breed. Maybe it is selfish but everyone has to make choices I guess.
