As I was going through my people pictures of Israel, I saw that I forgot to post the few I took of a pet store in the open air market in Jerusalem (called ‘The Shuk‘ in Hebrew). I found it interesting that they sold pet food by the scoop. I added some picture of spices and fruit just so you can get the flavor of the market.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo.

In Israel those are Winter strawberries. They do not have blueberries or any bush berries it seems. It was nice to be out of the cold for a moment.

Pet food by the scoop does not sound real practical. Why would anyone want just a few scoops?

I am not sure. It seemed odd to me too, but I don’t speak Hebrew or Arabic, so I could not ask that question.

I just asked Peanut and she said it is because people do not have cars to carry the big bags, so they get, just enough, and then come back next shopping trip. They take a light rail train, bus, or walk to everything in Jerusalem.

Pet food by the scoop is rather scary. What if someone evil added something to it?
