Hey they look just like porcupine. I wonder if they’re cousins. Do you have them as pets or in the area?

No they are just living here on the property and surrounds..they are a protected species and as such cannot be kept as pets..they meet up with each other for a romantic liason and then go their separate ways for another year π and no they won’t be cousins as they are monotremes..unique to Australia..means they lay eggs but feed them milk like mammals..pretty cool huh π Echidnas and Platypus are the only monotremes in the world even cooler π
