If you know Noel, the Christmas cat, you know that the bench chairs for the kitchen table are her favorite place to be. Tucked in under the table with protective bars and a comfy cushion. From this perch she can watch the floor action, mostly of silly dogs. Occasionally the kitten, Mini Cooper, will try to engage her and get her to play, but Noel doesn’t really want to move until dinner time, unless of course, Mom is sitting near by trying to read the Sunday newspaper. Then she will get up to try and help keep the pages from turning.

My cats love to read the Sunday paper with Mom. She gives them a section she doesn’t want and lets them hang out under it and play.

My cat Calvin has his After Dinner Chair, where he lays under the table. That’s where he takes his after-dinner nap.

You’ve found prime real estate there, Noel! My cat’s job was always to help keep the pages of whatever I was reading from turning. I miss that. A lot.
