Sometimes we think that Mom thinks we are just statues to sit in the garden with her flowers. It has been raining for 15 straight days now, so getting out, even for a little while, is worth it. Mom had a good crop of iris this year. There is only one peach colored iris amongst the bunch. With so much rain everything is green and soggy. That makes for happy plants, Mom says. And smelly dogs.

The irises look amazing. You two are PERFECT garden statues. Much less scary than those gnomes that some people use…. And we all know that NUTHIN’ smells better than a wet, muddy dog. Mmmmm….

Mom says she doesn’t smell it any more, but the minute P’nut came home from work she said “Ahh, the smell of wet dog.” BOL

When I was younger I tried to pass off going out in the rain as equal to taking a bath. Didn’t work on my mom, but maybe the pups can try it.
