4.20.13 Caturday: Sailing In the SS Stella
I built this cat boat from a kit. I named it the SS Stella (an painted that on the flag). V was sure that Nine was never going to play in the boat, and he didn’t go near it for about a month. I put toys in it, and cat nip, then, he decided it looked like fun. Now he sleeps in the SS Stella often. On the other hand, I have never seen Stella come anywhere near it and Noel would not lower herself to enter such a thing.
I can not imagine a life without cats.

4.13.13 Caturday: Catisthenics
OK all you exercise fans, this is the Noel catisthenics class.
Catisthenics are a form of exercise consisting of a variety of simple, often rhythmical, movements, generally without using equipment or apparatus done by a cat. (sorry Wikipedia)

3.23.13 Caturday: My Bed
Stella has decided that K8’s bed is now her’s and K8 is her human. She bothers K8 day and night. “Play with me! Play with me!” I am so happy that she is bonding and building relationships away from her over powering brother, Nine. K8 took this shot in the morning as they were waking up.

3.9.13 Caturday: Noel’s Pink Bed
Noel loves her pink bed in my office, under the window. Its funny because there are 2 beds in the office, a red one and a pink one, but she always chose the pink. After so many years it is her’s and I don’t think anyone, except maybe Nine (because he is stupid that way) would dare try and lie in it. (My human girls bought these beds at the pet store when we got Constance and Noel, so they have been on my desk a long time.) When Muffy was alive he would sleep next to Noel in the red one. I moved the red one behind my monitor and Baby Stella has seemed to taken a liking to it. As you know, Noel is with me in the office all the time and has her spot next to me under the window. She also likes my chair when I am not in it. There is nothing as peaceful as a sleeping kitty, I don’t know how I will ever work in a traditional office if I can’t take Noel with me.

3.2.13 Caturday: Zackary In A Rainbow
Zackary
Zackary was the sweetest of cats. He left us in Feb 2010. He was a very quiet quy and liked to have one-on-one time with his people. If too many strangers were around, you would never find him. He and Cuddles were litter mates, though they did not seem to hang together much as they got older. Russian Blues like to talk and he did have his special conversations. Gertrude and him were the best of friends for many years and she missed him a great deal when he passed on. He lived well as the beta male, with The Muffin Man as his leader. Zack was happy with that. Hard to believe he is gone 3 years already. Noel channels him in the late afternoon with this weird little rug dance that he used to do at the top of the stairs; using her claws to move around in a circle. He was a big tail chaser too. Thinking of you Zacky Boy. Hope you are still enjoying the rainbow.

2.23.13 Caturday: Hanging With The Nomie
Gertrude and Cuddles were not friends, But they did love to look out the back door in the winter at the birds in the bird bath. Somehow a common enemy brought them together. Gertrude passed in 2007 and Cuddles in 2010.
We seal that backdoor in the winter to try and keep the draft out. Our solar hall Nome makes sure that we can see our way down the hall at night. I guess you could say that the cats were ‘Hanging with their Nomies.’
