On our walk this morning, I noticed that Louise seemed to have endless energy (it must be the lab in her). She runs like the wind and is distracted just by hearing the word ‘Squirrel.’ She doesn’t get into much trouble, but she does tend to follow scents (I think that is the hound part of her) more than follow my commands. Sofie on the other hand has to herd us all along (the corgi and sheltie in her) but seems to tire easily. She tends to have more burst type of energy (run run run, collapse). I am almost sure during our little photo session (I hold these little photo ops to practice the ‘Place’ and other commands), she fell asleep. We weren’t even done with our mile walk yet. I think both of them, and my cats, and most of the humans I know, are struggling with spring allergies here in the Mid-Atlantic. I haven’t given them anything for their allergies but worry that maybe I should. Lulu sneezes and sneezes and then scares herself. And poor lil’ Sofie Bear, she is whizzing and hacking. They both seem to be eating a lot of grass too, and I assume somehow that is connected, but I do not know (?). Maybe that is why Sofie is so tired today – I know that I sure am….
Just another dogdaz morning at the zoo ❤

I do hope you are all not too badly affected by spring allergies. There is a lot of pollen in the air at the moment 😦 Take care x

I’ve noticed my guys eating grass more frequently too! Hmmmm I wonder if there is a connection? Hope they feel better soon. 🙂

You can give dogs benedryl if they are sneezing to help relieve their symptoms. When I give it to my rottweiller it puts her to sleep just like it does for me.

Thanks Sandy – I know I can, but I just hate to unless there is no alternative. She is already sleeping, as you see.

Sorry to hear about the wheezing and stuff. But your dogs seem frisky, and lively and will soon be back in the game!
