Louise is a knee begger. She is the perfect height to put her head on your knee when you are sitting down. She actually doesn’t do it for food when you are sitting at the table, she does it for my attention when I am working or watching TV. Then she moves from head on leg, to paws on leg. She actually likes to sit up on her hind quarters and have her paws against me. This is silly behavior, and I am kind of sorry I never stopped it when she was little, but I found it cute. I don’t speak dog very well, so I don’t always understand what it is she wants (other than attention).
How do you ignore an adorable dog like Lulu, when she looks at you with those brown eyes, places her paw on your knee and says…. nothing (she is not a big talker). I do love this dog. She is funny and silly and very serious all at the same time. Well, I do not think there is much you can do about a dog that is a knee begger, or let me rephrase that, there is not much I am going to do. Because, I love Lulu’s knee begging, it makes me smile.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Knee begging is the cutest thing I ever saw. So is Lulu! I can’t reach knees, so I take a flying leap and land on Mom’s lap – unless I overshoot the target, which ends messy.
Love and licks,

I can relate to this post. Sampson is a knee beggar as well. Usually after I finish eating he puts his head on my knee and wants attention. Like you I think it’s adorable so I let it continue sometimes even moving to the floor to sit and stroke him. Although I do try and curb him putting his paw up, he has a really big and heavy paw that sometimes scratches. 😦

That is also why I wanted to discourage the paw too. Lulu’s paws can kill on soft skin. Thanks

Nah, you can’t stop that, you need a heart of stone to stop a puppy doing that, yeah they grow up and get heavier and tougher, nevertheless cute lol.

So cute! We do the same thing and find that putting a paw up on the knee adds a little more cuteness to the situation. Good work Lulu 🙂

Cuteness is good! – Lulu Belle (Sofie is cute too but I don’t let her know that because she is spoiled.)

Bella is a knee begger too. It’s so cute! She’s also a chair sharer if I’m working from home – she climbs up and lays behind me across the chair with her paws over the other side. Ah, the loves!

We should have named our girl “Ilene” because she comes over with the knee begging and leans against you when she wants an ear rub. And NO, I have no willpower for those big brown eyes either. I am powerless! (And fine with that! ;))
