7.15.12 Animal Addiction

15 Jul

When I am away from home, I miss my goofy furry companions. I travel often for business, but it is very rare that I take vacation, and even rarer that the animals are somewhere other than their home. I set it up so that they are all well taken care of, but when I am not with them, it is as if I am missing something. Now I know that must sound crazy.  I don’t miss them in the same way that I miss my humans, but I do miss them.  I think about them and I talk about them.  I think I am addicted to them.  Is there such a thing?

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Animal addiction is a very real affliction. It can be treated best by remaining in the animal blogging community. This treatment works remarkably well, not in fixing the problem but in making you feel more at home with your addiction. I would recommend that you learn to embrace your addiction! The rest of us certainly approve.

I know what you mean. I was gone for 24 hours and got home last night. I missed my animals and was very happy to see each of them when I got home. After I am gone I notice that they stay very close to me – maybe they want to go with me if I leave again. This morning – I had 3 dogs in my room and a cat on my bed waiting for me to wake up. We all went out to do the chores together. We had a fun time with an extra 335 lbs of dog weight on the golf cart. Happy Sunday!!

hmmmmmmm…… I couldnt live without our collies…. addicting? Perhaps, but to me its the unconditional love they give us. Oh, if humanity could be as loving, forgiving and happy as dogs… wouldnt the world be a better place? 🙂

I completely empathize. There is something about those sweet, uncomplicated, personalities that makes me long for them the most when I am gone.

I have it too. I remember when I was in hospital having Bubba, I couldn’t wait to get home and introduce her to Bella and Beary. And I couldn’t wait for furry loves!

I remember the introductions. My cocker, Nikki, loved my daughter from the minute I brought her home. And the cats would fight over who would cuddle with her. 🙂

I can openly say that I am addicted to dogs, especially a particular spunky ball of hyperness named Taylor! And I don’t think this addiction is a bad thing! For me, it’s either dogs or ice-cream…and thankfully, my wardrobe still fits me, thanks to Taylor! 😉
