On Black and White Sunday yesterday, I showed you the lovely little duck family taking their first float on the river. When we got to the dock the dogs were beside themselves wanting to spoil the idealic moment. They ran from dock to dock and I had to stop them several times from jumping in. Then Louise ran down the boat ramp and Sofie followed, and I had all I could do to stop them from swimming any further out. I do not know what they would do to the ducklings, but I do not want to find out. Then of course, as we walk up the hill to the house, at the corner, in the middle of the road, are Harold and Maude, the male and female pair that happen to be living under a bush by the house. Sofie was beside herself again. But at least the big one’s can fly. Though usually they fly right into my back yard pool. But that is for another post.
I did not get a picture of them swimming because I was to busy yelling at them too come back!
(No ducks or dogs were harmed in this adventure.)

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from Snoopy’s DogBlog. Check them out for more mischief.

I think it was their first float with Mom, so I don’t know how fast they are.

It is getting very busy down by the docks. Ducks, Geese, Osprey, Fox, and the worst….. HUMANs in their boats.

I’m glad no one was harmed. Currently it’s difficult with all this animal babies around.

Me too. Dogs would harm Ducks and then I would kill dogs (not really).

I’m happy everybody made it through OK. I think I would’ve had 15 heart attacks! That is too much excitement for me!

It was pretty wild there for a few minutes. Luckily, they are more afraid of the ‘wrath of the pack leader’ than they are of a few feathery snacks

We scared Mom, because she was not sure what we would do when we got there.

Wow – I’m sure my Mum would have been scared too if I’d got into the water with the ducks! Glad everyone was safe 🙂

I was worried for the babies and also because the river is so polluted that they will get sick.
