Black and White Sunday: Alas, We Wait.

29 Sep

Louise Sofie Waiting

Obviously, intent on something moving on the deck, Louise and Sofie are statues at the door.  The sisters are always plotting the demise of a slow squirrel, or the overthrow of a flock of ducks.  Sadly, they must wait and wait and wait, for the human, who may, or may not, feel like giving them their freedom to pounce on the unsuspecting wildlife.  No dog door for these marauders.  Mom thinks they just have to deal with waiting until she is ready.  Ah, the control of the human with opposing thumbs.  Happy Sunday.  Hope it is a fun day.

Sometimes I think waiting is harder on the woofies than the kitties…we have had to learn patience

Yes – Kitties are much more patient, except Nine. He is a catdog, and leans more towards the canine impatience than the cool feline vibe.

Seems like most of a dogs life is spent waiting for something.

If my dogs had a dog door, they would go in and out 100’s of times a day!

Those two would be dangerous with a doggie door! I’m afraid of doggie doors. When I stayed at Victoria’s for Mom’s surgery, the dogs went in and out the doggie door freely. I was confused, so I always waited nicely till the big door was opened for me.

You are so polite Cupcake. We would race back and forth a million zillion times if allowed. But Mom thinks not only is it bad for the wildlife for us to be always menacing, but who know what will follow us home.

Aaaah, I feel with you. We always have to wait – even when we see a slow (really slow?) squirrel. Have a great sunday Sofie & Louise!

While teaching patience is important, our Sally bolted right through a screen door – on more than one occasion…

Yes – we stopped using the screen door and keep the glass door closed. BTW – I can’t leave comments on your blog. Even though I have java script in my browser, you site keeps refusing me. Though I do visit often

We know how you guys feel! We love to chase squirrels and sometimes we have to wait for mommy to let us out, but then there are other times when we are in the sunroom and we can go in and out when we want! We have never caught a squirrel but mommy says that Summer who has since crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, caught a possum once:) I think squirrels would be better!

We caught 3 so far this year. Mommy is not happy with us. She takes them to the wildlife center to be fixed. That is just weird

LOL! This would be my dogs if I had a sliding glass door to the back yard. Instead, they perch themselves on the couch and watch out the bay window. Great shot.

No dogs allowed on the living room couch in this house (like I don’t know they go there when we are not looking). BOL
