Squash E Bear.
It has been 4 years since I have been able to hug your big fluffy body. I miss lying on the floor with you and spooning. I miss our walks, you, blind, trusting me through the woods, me, soaking up the love that you emanated from every pore of your being. Oh, Squashy, I hope that you are playing forever in that big meadow with Miss Kitty chasing your tail. You were unique among dogs and everyone you met said it. Remember how people used to stop their cars (really they did) when we walked in the street and asked what you were? I would say, “he is everything.” And you were.
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola for hosting.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Thanks Easy. We are not kidding. It used to freak me out when it first started happening, but after a few times I just figured his energy was so big that humans could feel it even through the metal and glass.

Thank you Moggies. Some animals are just deeper in your soul for some reason. Not that we don’t love you all.

Now I am all teary-eyed. I am so sorry. I spoon with Daisy too. I will miss our little morning cuddles when she is gone.
Your photo is beautiful. You can see very swirl of his fur and every line in the wood floor. Just beautiful.
He must have been a very special dog. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you. I think that I was actually the lucky one, though as a 2X a day insulin diabetic he would not have survived much longer in the wild. You can read about him here – https://dogdaz.com/?s=squash
