Monday Mischief: Are the Bald Eagle’s Moving In

24 Mar

I am not sure how my resident Osprey are going to take the Bald Eagles* moving in on their platform today.  Nasty day so the pictures are pretty dark.  Also, this new iPhone thing that I got does not seem to get very close.  Any tricks that people can share for better close ups?  I think there is going to be a turf war for the nest.

I will keep you updated on the bird mischief.

*Bald Eagles only recently returned to our part of the Chesapeake bay.  I was really excited to see them.  If you look closely in one of the pictures you will see the raptor on the right in flight.  It got scared when Louise tried to get close.  She almost jumped in the water.

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

It’s wunderful when new birds return to the area, unless they’re big piggy-eating birds like have just moved next to our house! The hoomans love seeing the Red Kites flying over the house, whee, not so much!

Get in there, LuLu! Scaring birdies is the best fun ever! Even if it makes your mom have a heart attack….

One day an Osprey picked up my neighbor’s little dog, but it did drop it unharmed. Lulu would be a little to big, I hope.

I will watch and wait. We do have another platform on top of a telephone pole further down but there is a family that already lives in that one usually. Time will tell. Law of the wild

I think the bald eagles will win that turf war. How fun to be able to watch them.

Very jealous you have so many cool birds nearby. I wouldn’t want to walk a smaller dog in that area though!

No dogs under 15 # at this house. They get picked up by the birds. They need to always be supervised around here
