A long time ago I started calling Sofie “Soda Pop,” and Louise “Lolly Pop.” I have no idea why. I have nicknames for all my pets and many of my humans. My daughter is “Peanut” (that is because she was tiny when she was born), Noel is “Noey” or “Snoel,” Nine is “Niner,” and baby Stella is “Stella Dora.”
Here is a picture of Sofie lying in the cool grass yesterday. I noticed that her ‘snow nose” appears to be darkening (you can read about it here). That makes me happy because it has been pink in the middle for a few years and I always hoped that the summer heat would bring back the black (or maybe it was the recent allergy treatment).
Do you have a “pet” name for your pet? (and why is a nickname also called a pet name?)
Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola and Sugar for hosting.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

I call my Oreo ‘fatty-fat-fat’.
Although, he’s really not fat.

We have nicknames too, lots of them…some aren’t so good, but that’s okay, it is all in fun.Today I’m shaggy, because I need to get to the groomer.

I am going to guess on ‘tooter’s’ origin. I love ‘Pawpaw’s lil’ boy,’ how sweet!

We are not that creative at our house. Veruca is usually Veruca-do. Ava is usually called Ava-Marie. I do like Soda-pop as nickname.

all our littles have nicknames…. our Sunny would get a snownose when we lived in Utah, now being in California it hasn’t come back 🙂

Thanks Mags. As long as it starts with a SO, she will answer to anything.
