Monday Mischief: Slow Monday

07 Jul

Slow day for the Red Shouldered Hawk.

Sometimes I think he is waiting to eat Sofie.

(Last photo is from the internet.  My iphone doesn’t get that close.)

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from Snoopy’s DogBlog. Check them out for more mischief.

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

They are wonderful birds, but we are careful now when Hell-mut is in the back yard (betour hawks never saw a tortoise, but maybe one of them has a faible for exotic food? who knows?)

      Best to be careful.

They like to sit and watch the dogs

They’re incredible birds, we have them here too. Unfortunately they see small dogs like Daisy as appetizers and have attacked more than one locally (and one of those was on leash!). So no free runs for Daisy in the yard!

Anything under 15 lbs is not safe in the yards. The Osprey have picked up small dogs here too. I think the Hawks are to small but they sure do get other birds. Stay safe. Every little dog needs a big dog protector (that’s what Sofie says)

Oh, an evil hawk. I’ve lost chickens to them. They don’t always pick up. Our hawk pounces, then settles in to eat. Begone, Hawk!

We find way too many things scattered about from their leavings. Yes, yes… begone!

It does look a bit slow for that bird.

All the little birdies were hiding.
