Monday Mischief: Shoreline Restoration

02 Feb

MM 2.2.15

Down by the river on a snowy day.  Run run run.  We love to play and romp and roll.  The river front is eroding so our community is working with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation to restore the shoreline.  The restoration is a holistic approach and includes shallow water habitat, submerged aquatic vegetation planting terraces, conservation areas, and a living shoreline.  We can’t wait to see all the fun critters that will make their home on our banks.  State tune for more mischief for Mondays!

With all the pollution in the water, we are hoping that the restoration will provide a cleaner environment. Well worth it for sure. Thanks Newfies for stopping by.

It’s so wonderful to see the restoration that’s being done on your shoreline. We have a similar project in the planning stages for the lakes that are in the middle of our city. Hopefully all the humans can get over their human bickering so the project can get started soon. You know how humans can be. 😉

Oh, humans are the worst, but sometimes, when they work together, great things can happen.

Love the idea of restoration. It’s so much better for everyone. Hope some great critters come back.

Absolutely. Can’t wait to see how it flows when river isn’t frozen.
