This is a favorite shot of mine from 2014 showing the totally different personalities of my dogs. Louise is a big Mommy kisser. Sofie, on the other hand, stays close but is not very demonstrative. At least once a day I sit on the ground with the dogs and comb and cuddle and toss. I taught them the word ‘kiss,’ where they lift their muzzles to me and I kiss them on the cheek (as you see Lulu doing here). Nine, the ManCat, also does the kiss with me, but none of the other felines want to do it. Nine thinks he’s a dog so I guess that is why he responds to dog commands.

I’m not a big kisser. But my human mommy says “Give me a kiss” before she’ll let me have a treat. So I just sort of smash my mouth into hers. It seems to satisfy her. 😉
