Wordy Wednesday: Fungiiiiii!!!!

26 Sep

As the season changes the mushrooms seem to take hold on our walk. All types of mushrooms are appearing on peoples lawns. It is a lovely display of fairy circles and wild spores. Lulu likes to water them mostly. They are bigger than Charles and they scare him a little so he tries to avoid them if he can. Sofie just sniffs. Don’t let the furries eat them if you don’t know what they are, they can be deadly. And don’t eat them yourself unless you are knowledgeable about what you have picked. I think they are cool to look at but don’t tend to pick my own. Do you pick your own fungi?

Here is a great field guide if you want to learn more: Field Guide to Common Macrofungi in Eastern Forests and Their Ecosystem Functions

*Did you notice that I changed the blog title to “Wordy” Wednesday from “Wordless” since I tend to talk so much? Bark Out Loud! Enjoy your day!

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Mom never lets me eat them or even get too close. Apparently I am unpredictable. After many wet days in a row, some of the mushrooms are so freaky, they look like they are from Mars.

    Love and licks,
