Black and White Sunday: Heavenly Peach

Peaceful sleep. Isn’t that what a Black and White Sunday should be?

Nine is so cute when he isn’t terrorizing the herd.

Wonderful Wednesday: 5 of 7

I was making breakfast and I turned around and 5 of the 7 furballs were in the kitchen watching me. I am sure that they could not have wanted more to eat since they had all just eaten. But, of course, they do! Why are animals always hungry? Stella of course was in her private suite and Charles was sleeping with the retired human (usually until the crack of noon). No second breakfast for you boys and girls, sorry. But, lunch is only 5 hours away.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Today is Stella’s 10th Birthday.

I declare today, National Stella Day. She deserves her own day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STELLA!

What kind of mischief did you get into today?

Black and White Sunday: 3 Dog Weekend

This is a 3 day dog weekend. Tomorrow is Labor Day in the United States. It is a celebration of workers. But I think we are going backward because businesses are open and people are working. How do you celebrate someone with a workman’s holiday if you make them work?

“In the wake of … massive unrest and in an attempt to repair ties with American workers, Congress passed an act making Labor Day a legal holiday in the District of Columbia and the territories. On June 28, 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed it into law. More than a century later, the true founder of Labor Day has yet to be identified.- History.com

Caturday: Sir Glitch the Noodle

Peanut moved into a new apartment that allows pets. So now, meet my new grandcat – GLITCH (occassionally called Noodle) – 4 months old and 5 pounds.

Now that boy looks like trouble, don’t you think? So excited for Peanut.

Interesting how my kids all realize that there is no greater enjoyment as an adult than having a pet who you love and to whom you are the whole world.

Have a super life, Glitch. Grandmaw loves you.

I cannot imagine a life without cats!

Wonderful Wednesday: The Smiler

Sofie 1 year old

Sofie 10 years old

Sofie just always looks like she is smiling even if she is scared. In the bottom picture, taken last weekend, she heard a firecracker outside and ran to Louise for comfort. She still looks like she is smiling.
