Hello. Charles here. Did I tell you that Mom took me to the vet for a dental cleaning and that they pulled out my left top molar tooth? It hurt. Now Mom and the vet know why my head always shuck when I bit down hard on things.
I have dissolvable stitches. This picture is on the drive home. I was happy to go home you can see that I was still on the ‘happy’ juice they gave me when they knocked me out to do the procedure.
I still am having some trouble eating hard kibble, so Mom soaks it in a little water and it blows up to be big and fluffy (and soft). Now instead of my usual pizzle or hard treat at night, she gives me this, sometimes yummy, licky mat, with yogurt and soft kibble and soft dog food smashed into it.
It had been 2 weeks but one of the stitches still doesn’t want to dissolve. Mom is watching it for me. Brush your teeth and make sure to keep them clean so this never happens to you.
Have an awesome Black and White Sunday!
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Oh Charles. You were so brave. That last stubborn stitch might need to be snipped out by the vet. Thanks for the reminder about brushing. Mom does my teeth every night. I don’t love it, but I tolerate it. Once in a great while, she gives me a night off. Stay brave, little buddy.
Love and licks,
Cupcake

When Merlin got his two dental procedures (and all of his teeth came out, as he was so neglected that he had severe infections in his mouth) there were dissolvable stitches, too – well – at least that was what they promised. The vet had to take out the last of them both times.
