I have always thought that cats are magic. But Noel, well she seems more magic than others. Maybe it is because she is a simple cat that finds joy in a sunbeam.
“I’ll give you one of my best cats, my favorite. I’ll give you a Jellicle cat.” 1976 movie Logan’s Run,
I think I told you that Louise and Sofie go on outings without me (Boo Hoo). Mom says that the big dogs sometimes need time with their big dog friends, so I stay home. I still miss them when they are gone and I get really excited when they return.
What is it about cats and windows? You open a window and ‘poof,’ there’s a cat. Is it the warm sunlight that attracts them, the occasional breeze? Is it that cats are curious creatures and an open window is, well, curious to an indoor cat. Maybe it is the wonderful smells that woofed in from the street? On a beautiful spring day here at the Zoo, there is a cat in every window.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Peanut with Socki. She was probably 10 years old, maybe 2005.
