Queen Noel here: I think I told you that Mom was getting a new recliner. She waited 7 months for La-Z-boy to make the thing and when they delivered it, it was the wrong fabric. It is a cool chair though.
I don’t know why she cares about the fabric since she has to totally keep it covered because of us cats all the time?
They are going to make her a new one, but in the meantime, Mini Cooper and I have been having some major, knock-down, drag-out, catfights to see who gets to be in the driver’s seat. Thanks for buying us a really expensive chair you will never sit in Mom – We own every chair in the house and this one’s mine!
I have moved from Mom’s recliner, which I took over for the last 2 years, onto the dining room chair, which I used to call mine before the recliner. Now I defend this chair with my life against interlopers, namely Mini Cooper. Mini has been spending time in the recliner now that I have relocated, but that will not last long. Mom’s new recliner, which V got her for her Medicare birthday LAST MARCH, is finally arriving (no furniture should take that long to be built and delivered) and I am sure that it is going to become my favorite spot for the next few years when I decide to vacate the dining room chair. Maybe I will share it with Mom if she is nice to me.
On Sept 6, Miss Stella turned 11. I wanted to make sure that she got her praise for being a loving and sweet girl, even if she only likes humans and not other animals. Happy belated bday, Princess.
Mom said she needs a break. Too much going on. She keeps repeating “so little time and so much to do.” Whatever that means. She said she will get back to blogging soon but with the nights turning cooler and the days getting shorter, she just decided that it is better to play with us than talk about us for a few weeks. See you in September.
Noel, loves her herb window, as you know. But in the heat of the summer (the CatDaz of summer), we put up a curtain because that space, with all its windows, heats up the kitchen and also burns the plants. But, it is not too hot in there for Ms. Noel. She still wants to eat in the window and spend most of her day. Like every good animal at the zoo, she is a FOMO*. So she occasionally sticks her head out to make sure nothing is happening that she should be involved in.
I threw out all of Louise’s sweaters and coats today (after 12 years she had a lot). I also got rid of Sofie and Louise’s yellow slicker raincoats too – I loved those (I put one in the thrift store recycle bag, but I don’t know if they will use it). The little dogs have no use for that stuff. The shelters don’t want the used coats or leashes, collars, and harnesses. And they don’t want the beds either, I checked. I have all these big dog beds that I can’t seem to just toss. Last Christmas I got Lulu this beautiful orthopedic one that she loved. So it is sitting against the wall of my office until I can figure out where it should go.
And what do you do with raised feeding dishes? No one wants them. Many of the leashes and collars had their names and my phone number on them so they went in the trash. My heart is just aching. I kept a few things to see if I could make coats for the littles, or maybe because I just couldn’t part with it all yet.
The picture is Louise and Sofie in 2018. Gosh, I miss those goofballs.
