There is nothing as sweet as a cat sleeping among her toys.
Have a wonderful Black and White Sunday.

Nine has been getting into so much mischief lately. I am never sure what or who he is going to attack at any moment. He has been ripping up the carpet, especially the stairs, and all the fronts of the couches. As you know, he is merciless about chasing Noel and he and Mini get into some good fights too. The pheromone collar worked well for a long time, but now it seems to not really calm him at all. He is mostly a sweet boy, but he is making us crazy with his antics. Maybe it is a mid-life crisis at 9 years of age. Who knows.

I’ve been noticing that Sofie is always sideways or upside down. Is that a submissive thing or is she just being silly? Louise, on the other hand, tends to have this look in most of the pictures like I have really ticked her off: “Oh, Mom, will you stop with all these pictures already!” Capturing the blond and black in a way that works in pictures has it’s challenges. Half the time if I have Sofie’s coloring right, Louise’s eyes disappear in her beautiful darkness. When I get Lulu right, Sofie seems over exposed.
They are a lesson in contrast, not only in fur color but in personalities. Sofie walks off lead and stays close, Lulu is on a harness with a heavy leash (she is unpredictable and easily distracted). Sofie barks at everything and whines and whines and whines, Louise only barks when she has something important to say. Thunder unnerves Sofie, but not Louise. Louise loves her kennel and at bedtime she opens her kennel door, goes in by herself (I think she would close it on her own too if I taught her how), eats her cookie, and goes right to sleep. Sofie has to be bribed to go in her kennel anytime and puts up a big fuss at bedtime (“No! I am not eating my bedtime cookie because I do not want to go to sleep. I am on strike! Blah, blah, blah, whine, whine, whine). I love my studies in contrasts.
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola and Sugar for hosting.
