Caturday: Hanging With The Nomie
Gertrude and Cuddles were not friends. Cuddles, unlike her name, wasn’t really friends with anyone. She mostly lived in my bedroom and would paw-smack anyone who got too close to the bed
In this rare photo moment in winter 2006, I caught Gert and Cuddie looking out the back door at the birds flitting in the bird bath on the deck. Somehow a common enemy brought them together.
Gertrude passed in 2007 and Cuddles in 2010.
We seal that backdoor in the winter to keep the draft out. The little solar gnome makes sure that we can see our way down the hall at night with his flickering light. I guess you could say that the cats were ‘Hanging with their ‘Nomie.’

Caturday: Playtime At The Zoo
V created a cat gym in the living room. Noel and Mini Cooper were having a grand time. When we adopted Noel she was so sick and did not know how to play even with the simplest cat toys. Time is a wonderful healer.

Noel and Mini Cooper were sunning in the herb window. First I noticed that Mini was sitting on Nono’s tail. Then when I came back later, Noel had her leg resting up on Mini’s side. If these aren’t the goofiest snugglers.

Caturday: Never Enough Whiteness!
“There can never be enough whiteness in the world,” Noel says. She seems to be very happy with the world outside the windows being her color, except that her herb window had so much snow on top of it (2+ feet) that it flooded. Usually, if there are ice jams on top of it, I take the hair dryer and melt them, but all this snow made it impossible. I am not really sure where the water comes in, but Noel came and told me that I needed to dry it up immediately. She is such a nag sometimes.

This is one of my all time favorite shots of Noel on the cat tree staring down a toy that is just a wire with some card board on the end. I figure it looks like a bug. Nono is a big starer. Do your furballs see things when nothing is there?
