Sofie and Louise patiently helping Mom put up the Halloween decorations on an absolutely, positively, purrrfect fall Sunday. Louise almost gets lost in all her darkness (she looks like a big black blob). Hard sometimes to see the blond and the black dogs in shadow balance. Hope your Sunday is a funday!

Louise loves loves loves Mojo (come back tomorrow to see more). Here she is telling him a thing or two about what he should be doing. Mostly it is “go get the ring toy so we can play tug.” She is verbal with him in a way that she isn’t with any other being. When she is with him, he barks and she bays (it must be the hound in her). It is so fun to watch. Whoooooooooo!

This is a favorite shot of mine from 2014 showing the totally different personalities of my dogs. Louise is a big Mommy kisser. Sofie, on the other hand, stays close but is not very demonstrative. At least once a day I sit on the ground with the dogs and comb and cuddle and toss. I taught them the word ‘kiss,’ where they lift their muzzles to me and I kiss them on the cheek (as you see Lulu doing here). Nine, the ManCat, also does the kiss with me, but none of the other felines want to do it. Nine thinks he’s a dog so I guess that is why he responds to dog commands.
