Charles loves to lie on the deck in the warm fall sun. I think he would stay there all day if I let him.

Caturday: Mini & Ratso

I never know where Ratso will be. Sometimes on a ledge, sometimes in the cave. All I know is that Mini Cooper likes to have him around.

Monday Mischief: Escape to Who Knows Where

Louise usually holds all the leashes while I pick up stuff. But Charles just keeps marching forward.

I thread Charles’ leash on Sofie’s and Sofie’s leash on Louise; Lulu being the heaviest and the most responsible of the three.

Well, that didn’t work today.

Don’t worry, they didn’t get far. They get confused when they don’t feel the weight on the other end of the lead. I really don’t know where they would end up, but I am too afraid to find out. I would hope that it would be home, but who knows.

What kind of mischief did you get into today?

Caturday: Introducing Freddie Purcury

We have a new grandcat, his name is Freddie Purcury. He is about 9 weeks old. My other grandcat, Hazel, seems to be tolerating him so far. What a bundle of energy. Such a ginger-boy! Love love love love love! K8 is head over heels in love with him. I think he is going to be one of those ‘always in trouble’ little boys. How fun!

I cannot imagine a life without cats!

Wonderful Wednesday: A New Type of Treat Mat

Mom bought Charles this mat. It is called a LickiMat. She thought that it would keep him busy because he is constantly begging for more and more treats and never seems satisfied. He was not impressed at all. But I sure like the peanut butter that he left in the cracks. There are many different foods that you can put on the mat, peanut butter, of course, but also just wet dog food, or pumpkin, or even apple sauce or mashed veggies. So far, when Charles licks most of it off, he wants something more substantial, like a Busybone. Mom is going to try a bunch of different things to see which ones work best. Do you have any ideas?

She actually bought another mat just for me, but I am too busy with Charles. She read that it could help me stay calmer (fat chance with that!)- Sofie Bear
