Mom has been busy with her newest Halloween toys: Cat and Dog Skeletons. She has wanted them for years and finally broke down and bought them. This dog looks just like Louise from the inside out. Next year Mom wants to find a Sofie. Remember to keep your black cats and dogs inside on Halloween night; best actually to keep all animals in. Humans can be very stupid.

We helped Mom make the family graveyard for Halloween. We love the holiday. It is fun and funny and scary all at the same time. Nine wanted to help but he gets to do the inside decorations only. We got to chew on a couple of ‘old bones’ while digging the graves – heheheheh. Mom says “Welcome to the Insane Asylum!”

Sofie is such a good eater. Actually, I think she would eat almost anything, except her medicine (that I have to hide in peanut butter). She likes raw veggies, melon, cat food (yes that would be her favorite if she can get it), and many unmentionable other things. As I have reported a million times before, Miss Louise is madly in love with Mojo Rising (he is the Labby Hunk next door). She is different with him than any other being. She has been his girlfriend since she was a puppy (he is about 1 1/2 years older). Look at the smile on her face. That is love if I ever saw it.

Aunt B was coming to visit, so Mom turned the den couch into a bed (it’s a futon). But the den couch is where we lay and watch TV with Mom, so this must be somewhere for us too, right? Louise jumped up the minute the bed was made, so Mom put our blankets on it.
It looked like a really good idea so I jumped on and made myself comfortable.

Has it really been 3 weeks since our last post. It is weird taking off that much time after so many years of blogging everyday. Since then Mom has taught 3 blogging courses at the college, did her day job, moved Peanut into her own apartment at university, and taken us for about a million short walks because it is tooo hottt for long one. We are now into the DOG DAZ of Summer! All we want to do is snooze inside the air conditioned house. Sofie won’t go outside half the time because she does not like to sweat (but she does love to swim). Louise thinks maybe the front door exits to a cooler place than the back, so she is always trying a different exit.
It looks like a normal day outside until Mom opens the door. Then…. blast! Heat comes at us like no tomorrow (what does that mean?). You would think we live in the tropics not the mid-Atlantic. Better to stay inside with the cats.
We missed being on the internet for a few weeks, it was hard. But, we are back. Now to go to all your blogs and catch up on our reading.
