I have been walking two dogs for so long it is second nature to me. From changing hands behind my back, because someone goes right and then left, or stretching my arms so wide that you would think I was a tree, I have got this down. Yes, those are knots in the lines that you see; I do that on every leash. First, I do that so I can grip the leash lower down at certain intervals when I want to shorten up and, also so that I can drop a leash and step on it without it running right under my foot. A funny thing happens if/when I do drop someone’s lead, they stop and turn around and look at me with a ‘what’s a matter with you’ face. Do you do a leash dance? What’s yours like?

2 PM Friday 8 AM Saturday 8 AM Sunday 29.2 inches of snow Lost the fence.
This record breaking blizzard was not fun. The dogs want the grass back!!!! Finally, Louise taught Sofie how to make a path to the pine trees where the snow was a little less deep. Happily spring is only 47 days, 3 hours, 7 minutes, and 24 seconds away (time now 23:22 EST).

Louise does not really like any one (except maybe Mom) touching her. But Sofie, ever since she was a puppy, has made it her mission in life to cuddle up to Louise. Secretly maybe Louise likes it, but I don’t really think so. BOL (Bark Out Loud)

Who could complain about a winter’s day when it is so mild and sunny, surely not us! This time last year we could ice skate on the river, today we are chasing geese in the grass. Notice many of the boats with their winter coats on. They look like giant plastic wrap thingies. We had so much fun running on the dock with no humans around. We like winter for that reason. Mom lets us off leash so we can explore and sniff sniff sniff.

Have a wonderful Monday!

We were walking in the neighborhood and noticed that some people are really clear about where their property ends and their neighbor’s starts. Mom said that trees don’t care about boundary lines. The leaves fall freely where they may and don’t get all caught up in what side they are on. We like that idea. Animals don’t care about property lines either. That is why humans define our space with fences and such, because we would be like the leaves and go everywhere. If there is a squirrel in your yard, we are going to chase it no matter what! That only seems right.

We had so much fun on the river on an unseasonably warm November day. Mom says that Amy’s Mom told her that we should not chase the geese or ducks because they will lure us out into the middle of the river and gang up on us and drown us. Is that really true? They look so fun to go after. Oh well, we will just have to chase each other.
