1.30.12 5:32: Mommy, come back!
Dear DogDaz Readers – Mommy is going out of town on a business trip this week so we girls will be with the other humans. What that means is no walks; we just go out back in the yard and maybe can look out the front door. Mommy does set it up so we can go to doggie daycare and play with our friends every other day, if the other humans will take us there. It is not as much fun when Mommy is gone, but we understand that is what keeps us in dog food and chew toys. The other humans do their best to hug us and pat us on the head (especially the young one, she let’s us on her bed). We will go into Mommy’s office and sleep in our usual spots and hope that she comes back soon. Maybe with cookies in her suitcase.

My teacher - Squash E Bear
You will see that I added a Memory page to the blog yesterday. This page is to honor all the wonderful animals that have shared their time on earth with me. I have been very lucky to be the human they chose. I am a rescuer. For some, they come in their early years and get a good start; for others, they come to live out their last days, months, and some years. Many have illnesses, physical or emotional; some mend, some need lifelong care. I am blessed. They have all taught me so many lessons; unconditional love, patience, kindness, community, and caring. I will always be eternally grateful for their gifts. And, I continue to learn from the current residents of the zoo.
It’s just another DogDaz morning at my house. ❤
1.28.12 DogDaz is 2 months old today
I started DogDaz blog on 28th of November 2011. So, we are 2 months old today. Wow! I have met so many really cool other dog blogs, kitty blogs, farm blogs, photographers, and just neat everything blogs. Thank you very much for allowing me to come along for the ride and a special thank you for those of you that visit my zoo regularly. I really look forward to your likes, and comments, and reading your stuff too. I look forward to many many many more days of blogging with you. Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

1.27.12 5:11: Duck!!!!
I thought that maybe if I blogged about something summerish, I could virtually escape the winter cold and feel warm again. Well, every spring the ducks decide to come and have their families under my bushes. For years I have named the pairs, Harold & Maude, Harry & Sally, Bonnie & Clyde, and it seems like they come back year after year, and their children then come too. Well, last year Maude decided instead of teaching the kids to swim in the river down the street, she would teach them in my pool. Only problem is that they were all to small to get out and they could not walk up the ladder or the steps.
Ducklings in the pool; they were to little to get out.
So, after about an hour of my whole family trying to figure out what to do, with floats, and surf boards, and whatevers, I finally made a successful exit ramp for the little family. Can you believe that they did not even say ‘good bye.’ They just waddled after Mom down the street to the river.
So I gave them a ramp to get out.
Just another DogDaz afternoon at our house. ❤
