A few posts ago, Mom talked about Louise’s POLITE PAWS. Well, cats have polite paws too. At least Nine does.

Wonderful Wednesday: Polite Paws
I think it is funny that Louise crosses her paws when she is laying down. There is actually a scientific term for that behavior called “polite paws.” Some behaviorists say that it is a way that animals (yes cats do it too) are trying to communicate with us. I think it is really just for comfort, like humans crossing their legs. Lulu definitely looks relaxed when she does it. She is a very polite dog, that is fur sure.

Black and White Sunday: Polite Paws
Louise is one of those dogs that likes to cross her legs. I don’t think that I have ever seen Sofie or Charles with crossed legs. I think it is a long legged animal thing. There is actually a scientific name for it (of course there is – Bark Out Loud), it is called ‘polite paws.’ Really, look it up.
