8.16.13 Follow Up Friday: Fuzzy, Crabby, and Delicious

16 Aug

Today is Follow-up Friday hosted by Jodi from Heart Like A Dog.  This is where we review the week behind so that we can launch into the week ahead (or something like that).

3d_snowman_2As Indian Winter (see last week’s FUF if you want explanation) continues this summer, here in the Mid-Atlantic, we are having some wonderful fall weather.  We have had the windows open almost every day this week (except when it was raining).  I even had a sweatshirt on this morning out with the dogs.  But, it is August.  This is unheard of.  I am not complaining, but are we going to have summer in October?

Last Caturday, no one told me I had the wrong date on my post (it said 8.3.13 instead of 8.10.13).  You most have all thought I was a week behind.  Hahahahha.  Nine had his tail in the planter’s hands.  It was a purrffect tail aid.

Black and White Sunday was a fuzzy focused walk in the park with the girls, Louise and Sofie.  I liked the fuzzy effect (actually I did not even realize I did that), but some people didn’t like it.  Oh well.  Here is a picture from the same series but in color.

Park Aug 2013

Mischief Monday found us down at the docks checking to see what was in the crab pots.  Nothing.

On Tuesday’s Tails, we featured a beautiful green-eyed senior kitty named Betty.  Everyone loved her eyes, her sour expression, and wished her a speedy new home.

Louise showed you her new pink flying thingie on Wordless Wednesday.  She keeps wanted to play tug with it, instead of toss (tug being her favorite game).  Sofie steals it and takes it under a tree, and then you know the rest….

Gimme that! No, you gimme that! It's MINE! MMMMMOOOOOMMM!

Gimme that! No, you gimme that!

And, Thankful Thursday, I grabbed a great old shot of Muffin laying on tomatoes from our garden.  The first crop is in, and I just love that picture.  Really miss that Muffin Man.

That’s it for the week. Thanks for playing along with us.  Check out the hop below and you can go play with others.

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

I love how Louise is looking right at the camera, while Sofie has other things on her mind. Squirrel?

Usually the other way around, but Sofie was bored and Louise is just wanting Mom’s approval.

We never pay attention to dates on a post unless we are looking for something specific. My sister is a big tug a war player…she would have joined in the fun!

Great follow up! Rudy gets very frustrated when Rosie wants to play tug instead of fetch with their Jolly balls! Ultra cool here in the Ozarks, too, plus I’ve even seen flocks of geese already headed south. What happened to summer?!

Yes – it that what is going on? The geese have been very active.

Thanks for joining the blog hop, this is very helpful since I’m still so far behind in reading. 😦

We are enjoying the cooler weather in the northeast as well, but our weather people tell us that towards the end of next week summer will be back again. It is very nice for walking though (except for the bugs, I could do without the bugs.)

Love the photos. Have a great weekend.

I spray myself before we walk. I have so many bites I think there is no skin left. LOL

We are having a crazy summer here too. It’s in the 70s as I type this… the 70s(!), with a high in the 80s! Normally it would be in the 100s in August. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, but I think it’s going to make for weird weather the rest of the year.
In the Caturday post, I would’ve never noticed the date. But I do think that I’m missing something when I look at it. The glowing eye is awesome and I love that the sun is getting a catstache… but what am I missing?
Nothing in the crab pots? Oh Lord, my hubs would die if we lived close enough to anywhere to catch our own crabs!
Both pics of Louise and Sofie are great. I like the fuzzy effect on the B & W just fine.
Love this photo of Muffin, and the one with the tomatoes… what a beauty/cutie he was.

You didn’t miss anything. I did. MOL

Thanks for the comment. They say summer is coming back in a week or so. Mother nature definitely is playing with us. – Lorian

I didn’t say that I didn’t like it, I asked if you meant to do it because there was a circle in the center that was in focus and the rest was out of focus. Didn’t mean it in a mean way, I was going to show you how to use Instagram to make them in focus and the background blurry.
