This is the time of year that I look at the year past, and try to make amends for any wrong doing, and then look ahead to the year to come, hopefully with a clean slate. Dogs don’t know about that stuff. Anything they did, good or bad, is in the past, and they just move on from there. They tend to live in the moment. I aspire to be more like a dog sometimes. The past, is gone, I can remember it and learn from it, but I can not change it. Staying in the past will only make me sad. I always try to be a better human going forward. That is something that I can affect. But, on the other hand, worrying too much about the future can make me anxious. It is best not to go too far out (except maybe with retirement planning :-)). Being present, being in the now, being ‘dog,’ seems to be a great place to be.
Happy Sunday!
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola and Sugar for hosting.
Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

All humans should strive to be more “dog.” The present is called the present for a reason.
