Wonderful Wednesday: Singing The Song Of My People
<Turn your sound on> In the morning, I feed the animals and then I go into my office. It never fails that almost every morning Queen Noel, who eats in her cat window in the kitchen, grabs one of her loveys and sings until I come back to the kitchen so she can present it to me. I assume it is her way of saying either, ‘thank you for the meal’ or ‘feed me more, servant!’.
The story behind the pink arm: I was throwing out a whole bunch of old dog toys a few weeks ago after Sofie passed, and there was this pink arm in the bottom of the toy bin. I put the broken and chewed up toys in the trash but the arm must have fallen on the kitchen floor only to be squirreled away by Noel. She appears to have added it to her pile of yellow birds and ‘puppy’ behind the plants in her window. Now it is one of her morning loveys. She is always so proud when she brings me her ‘kill.’

Caturday: Cooking With Noel
Noel Here: You all know that Mom has her own cooking site, right? LoriansKitchen.com
Anyway, that isn’t the point. You see she was making waffles this morning and she went to the giant binder of her recipes, because she never can remember anything these days, and I wanted to help her find the waffle recipe. But the binder is huge and she did not want me to sit on the pages or get hurt by the gynormous clip in the center. But, I did not want to move. Oh, Mom keeps her recipes in plastic sheet protectors because that way she can hang them in front of her on the cabinet while she is cooking and also so that when she spills stuff it doesn’t ruin the paper. (Of course, I never help her spill stuff. Actually, she doesn’t let me on the counter when she is seriously cooking stuff.)
Shall I tell you the secret to Mom’s awesome waffles? No, not cat hair, lemon juice. Ah oh, am I going to get in trouble for spilling the beans?

Wonderful Wednesday: Playful Nine & Sofie Memories
A memory that Peanut found of Nine, Sofie, and Louise. Nine and Sofie were probably about a year old and Lulu a year older than that. I guess it was around 2011 or 2012. Nine and Sofie used to play together a lot back then. Nine loved to play with the dogs. Photographic Memories are a wonderful thing to have. Photographs are a great way to look back and smile.

Black and White Sunday: Noel & Puppy
A study in black and white of Noel, the Christmas Cat, Queen of the Zoo, in her window with her current favorite lovey, Puppy. I must say she cracks me up the way she brings me Puppy and then just ‘meow, meow, meow’ until I come and say ‘thank you’ for her bringing me this very special prize.

Dear Noel: My humans keep trying to limit me to 2 meals a day, but I want more. What’s a feline to do? – Your devoted hungry fan – Grumps
Dear Grumps: You could always do what I do, stand on the kitchen table or counter and whine and whine and whine until they can’t take it anymore and they give you a least a few extra kibbles. Last week, I did that at 3 in the morning and it worked like a charm. Best of luck – Noel, the Queen of the Zoo

Monday Mischief: Play with Me!
Mini so wants Charles to play with her and be her buddy. He tolerates her but really doesn’t want much to do with it. She is persistent though. And one day he is going to engage, in a nice way.
