The cats, at least Nine and Mini, have been moving the curtains and spending a great deal of time, looking out the back window.
I thought, how nice, they are watching the world go by.
And then only this morning did I realize that V put a new bird feeder in line of sight to the window and they were watching all the action going on there. Cat entertainment is a main focus of our existence.
I cannot imagine a life without cats!

Don’t let the sunshine fool you, it was about 10 degrees outside when Mini Cooper decided to pose for me in the cat window. It is rare to get Mini by herself in the window since that is Noel’s domain. The cold air rushes in through this old non-insulated herb window, but we keep it because the cats just adore it. At night I take all the plants out and close it with a curtain, though Noel goes in and out which kind of defeats the purpose of trying to keep it closed off for warmth. What we do for cats.

Some dogs get gray with age, Sofie gets black. Do you see the fuzzy wisps on her ears? She has black on her back and her tail now where she used to be blond. Maybe she is Benjamin Button.

I remember when these 2 were inseparable. Now it is a rare moment to find them actually touching. It used to be wherever you would find Nine, Mini would be. It is so interesting how the dynamics change over the years.

In ancient mythology, hiding in murky waters near Argos, was a nine-headed serpent with poisonous venom, called the Lernean Hydra. My monster only has 2 heads, 8 legs, and 2 tails and will lick you to death but I thought they looked kind of similar to the one in the Hercules tale. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Noel took over my recliner several months ago. She has been very happy to sleep in it most of the day and night. But, recently, Mini Cooper discovered that it is a very comfy place to nap; to the dismay of Queen Noel. So, Noel sits there and stares at Mini for what seems like hours, hoping that her laser beam will make the perpetrator evacuate the seat.
Finally, Noel realized that Mini was not moving, so she tried PLAN B. She sat on her. But that didn’t get Mini to move either. So that evening, for the first time ever, Noel and Mini slept together on my chair.
I cannot imagine a life without cats!

We had delayed our Christmas holiday celebration until last weekend because Peanut had COVID. She is doing OK now. The dogs finally got to play with their presents. Louise loves squeaky toys and she got a Lambchop stuffy. But she was not able to bite down on it because of the tumor*. She was frustrated. I did not realize that this would happen.
Sofie decided, heck with that, if this thing is going to upset Louise, I am going to eat its face off! Sometimes you just have to destroy a stuffy for your sister.
