This month marks 9 years that DogDaz has been on WordPress. It is incredible the blog friends that we have made. The moments we have shared together in cyberspace. The animals that have entered our lives and those that have left holes in our hearts.
Our wish for 2021 is to end this horrible human plague and to get back to a fuller, more active life. To hug the ones we love and to be able to hold them again. The Spanish Flu in 1918 ushered in the decade we called the roaring ’20s.
“In the Roaring Twenties, a surging economy created an era of mass consumerism, as Jazz-Age flappers flouted Prohibition laws and the Harlem Renaissance redefined arts and culture.” – History.com
Maybe this plague will usher in a new roaring ’20s, with a surging economy again, but a focus on redefining civil justice and environmental urgency.
From our Zoo to yours, may you find health and happiness in the New Year and may you always be surrounded by fur, licks, love, and pet hair. Here is to a better tomorrow. Happy 2021!

On the shortest day of the year, may you find light in the joy of the season!
Did you know that the ‘Christmas Star,’ the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, will be visible tonight (Dec 21). It has been 800 years since this happened. Maybe tonight will bring a miracle full of peace, health, and healing to the world. I can dream, right!

It is hard to believe that Charles rescued us 4 years ago. He has become such a central part of the pack. The top right picture is the day we brought him home and the bottom is Mr. Sexy now. ❤
Happy Gotcha day, Charles. Little but mighty.

I just spent a gazillion dollars getting Louise an orthopedic jumbo dog bed (which she loves), but then I find her laying like this on the old bed. Bark Out Loud!!

Puppy Louise, about 10 years ago, helping select a Christmas tree.
And yes, the tree actually fit in the trunk of the Prius.
Have a wonderful Sunday.

One second every day (well sometimes 2 seconds) in the life of the Dogdaz Zoo. From summer to winter in the bat of an eye. November was a very active month for humans, but not so much for the zoo: we just hung out in the leaves mostly.
Can you spot Thanksgiving dessert? (Hint: Gluten-free dairy-free apple crisp with Cashew Vanilla Ice Cream) Did you know that Mom also has a food blog called LoriansKitchen? If you are hungry, stop by.

Louise is so happy with her new orthopedic bed. It has side bumpers so she no longer has to put her head on the floor. She immediately went to sleep on it. Noel, on the other hand, is very happy with the old bed.
