We are so completely happy to announce that after months, yes months, of struggling to find a temporary placement for little Madge, her luck is finally beginning to change.
Here she will be boarded but it’s going to be a whole new ball game for her with their fabulously dedicated staff!!! Madge will be out of a cage and outside eight times a day plus an additional two times a day for her training!! The academy focuses on helping rescue dogs become more adoptable by working on any issues they may need to overcome. In Madge’s case, they will be helping to socialize and get her past her fears with other dogs. We are so completely happy for Madge and the fact that she’ll finally have the help and mental stimulation she needs to become a much happier and healthier dog!!
We are so thankful for your support all this time. Your shares and messages to us are ultimately what saved her life! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We still need your help though! Madge’s training (after a generous discount from the Wilford team) will cost $20 a day. As we’ve stated before, we are now only relying on donations for Madge’s care, as we’ve already spent thousands on her boarding
Please, please we want Madge to have a solid month of training at least, so she can really benefit from this! This will cost $600 total. Every little bit helps!!! Thank you so much for your continued support and dedication to Madge! Please continue to share her story far and wide so we can get her the help she needs! Thank you all!!

When the girls run at each other like this, it just cracks me up. This is one of their favorite places to get crazy. We do this several times a week down by the river at the end of my street. It is one of the few ‘public’ places (when there are no humans on the dock and no one at the play ground – which is during the week days mostly) that they can run free. For a laugh, take a notice in the video when Louise jumps over Sofie so quick that she rolls her. This spot is called Breezy Point (listen for the wind and you will understand).
What mischief are you into today?

This is a blog hop. I hopped it from Snoopy’s DogBlog. Check them out for more mischief.
I love this picture of Peanut and Socki taken in 2004. Socki was the most wonderful service dog for Aunt Judi, who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Socki was the first service dog we ever got to know and he did everything for Judi. Every year we would come up to New York to have a family weekend and see a show. Socki came to many a Broadway show with us, the Rockett’s at Radio Music Hall, and even the American Girl store. He was amazing.
There was that one time when we went to see “Beauty and the Beast,” and we had to take him into the hall because they were shooting guns and it really upset him. Oh, and that time he met a bomb sniffing dog at the concession stand and they just really got into a conversation, we guess about work.
We miss you Socki. Thank you for teach us about how wonderful a life of service can be.
Have a good year at college, Peanut.
Enjoy your Sunday.
This is part of the Black and White Sunday Blog Hop. Thanks to Dachshund Nola and Sugar for hosting.
