Several months ago I took a dog travel crate out of the attic to take Noel to the vet. I like to use the dog crates, even though I have smaller cat crates for each of the cats (in case we ever have to evacuate), just to give them room. Anyway, the minute I got home with Noel from the vet, Jolie, who loves crates, was not happy that a cat was using her crate and she decided that this crate should stay in the living room all the time so she can keep an eye on it. So it has.
However, when Jolie was getting ready to go in the crate the other day she found a surprise. Mini Cooper, the cat dog, had taken it for her own. Slowly, Jolie backed up and went to sleep on the cat bed.
Yes, now the cat sleeps in the dog crate and the dog sleeps in the cat bed (sort of).
I cannot imagine a life without cats!

Nine discovered Louise’s night-time bed in Mom’s bedroom. He has decided that it is a wonderful place to get away from everyone else and take a nap. The other night however, when Louise was ready for bed, she did not know what to do because he was in her night-night spot. She never rousts a cat from any of her beds, so she went into the living room and laid down there instead of with Mommy.
I cannot imagine a life without cats!

Louise is so happy with her new orthopedic bed. It has side bumpers so she no longer has to put her head on the floor. She immediately went to sleep on it. Noel, on the other hand, is very happy with the old bed.

We all have different ways to settle down before we take a nap. Louise loves to toss her ears and roll a little to find just that right spot on the bed. Sometimes she covers her eyes with her paws, I am thinking to keep the light out.

Before I closed up the guest bed, I decided to watch a little TV in the den. The dogs are not allowed in my sleeping bed, but they can come up on the den coach with me, and hence, the den bed when it is open. They were in heaven taking a nap with Mommy. I have to admit, I liked it too, but with cats already taking up most of my sleeping bed, I don’t think that there would be any room left for humans if everyone was allowed up.
