Dogs and Pawz started a new Blog Hop last week called Tuesday’s Tails! DogDaz is joining today and if you are interested, new posts go up on Tuesday but you can link up and post whenever you want all week long. The whole purpose is to feature cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, etc. so whenever you link up is up to you! Even pets from PetFinder, are fine. Let’s just get them all homes! Dogs and Pawz said “I also want to encourage all of you to share each other’s Tuesday’s Tails posts on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and whatever other social media channels you use. The more we share the more likely we are to get the word out!”

So let’s hop to it!

Just another DogDaz morning at the zoo ❤

Sofie brought her favorite Airdog toy out to the tree, to:
(1) entice the squirrels to come down so she can chase them, or
(2) as an offering to the spring goddess, so that maybe she will take away the pollen, or
(3) __________________________________ (you tell us).
I give up trying to figure this dog out. BOL

Today is Thankful Thursday and, as usual, we have soooo much to be thankful for. One of the great rewards of Pet Blogging is acknowledgement by fellow bloggers.
To add to the 2 wonderful WordPress Family Awards bestowed on us last week, we received a 3rd from Peace, Love, & Whiskers. You can never have to much family. Thank you so much to an amazing pet blogger with obsessive cat disorder.![]()
And, when we thought that we could not be any luckier, our blogfriend Binki (and Granny), of AngelsWhisper2011 , gave us the ability to chose an award from their overflowing page of wonderful awardness. We chose, the
RULES FOR BEST MOMENT AWARD:
RESOURCES: What makes a good acceptance speech?
So, here is my little acceptance speech:
DogDaz would like to thank all the people that make our days in cyberspace fun and worthwhile. We would especially like to thank our friend Binki for thinking so kindly of us and bestowing upon up this wonderful award. We are so attached to our blogfriends that we feel their presence everyday through their blogs, comments, and likes, and want them to know that they matter and that they make a difference, everyday, in the pulse of the zoo.
The winner of the BEST MOMENT AWARD from DogDaz is Misty Shores Chesapeakes because they show us some really great moments in dog blogging fun.

It always amazes me how the plants just seem to ‘pop’ all of a sudden. This April, here in the Mid-Atlantic, we had a record snow fall, record cold, and record heat. I am glad to report, though cooler than normal temperatures overall this month, ‘spring has sprung!’ As you can see reflected in my front door.

Poor Sofie Bear has been struggling terribly with seasonal allergies this spring, and I keep her on a daily dose of Benadryl, which seems to be helping. She has this incredible sense of self preservation, on days when the pollen is maximum strength (like last Friday) she refused to go outside (smart girl). As I write this we are thankfully having a light rain, which maybe will bring the pollen count down. Until I moved to the Mid-Atlantic my animals never suffered from seasonal allergies, but it appears that this is a really bad area for both humans and pets.
One thing I know for sure is that this too shall pass, I just hope for Sofie’s sake it is sooner, rather than later.
Today’s lesson from Sofie – When the world outside is unsafe for you – stay in – go back to bed. But do try again tomorrow.

This is the scene first thing in the morning between my bathroom door and my bed room: Louise’s marrow bone, Sofie’s airdog, and Nine’s cat toy
This is the scene after my shower: Nine and Sofie, outside the bathroom door with a new configuration of the toys.
Can you guess which toy Sofie chooses most of the time to suck on ?
Don’t try to to figure this dog out? She prefers her toys with that catnip taste.
