I love it when Mommy feels guilty about leaving the zoo on one of her trips. When she returns after being away from us for a few days, she tends to give us new kinds of treats that we never had before. I also really like that she sits and cuddles with us for a really long time when she gets home (Mommy cuddles are my favorite thing in the whole world).

Sofie: “I’ve had it with your Labs, I’m taking a nap!”

Louise: “Mommy, are you really going to make us lie here until you take all the garbage, recycle, and yard waste cans in from the curb?”
Sofie: “I can not believe that she is making us ‘stay’ when she gets to run all over the place and drag heavy looking things around!”
Louise: “Sometimes Sofie, life is just not fair. How would Mommy like it if we made her stay in one place while we ran up and down the driveway?”
Sofie: “You are so right Lulu, but if we get up she will be mad at us. I don’t like when Mommy is mad at me, she makes this really loud noise.”
Louise: “Ok, well I guess laying her in the cool grass under the shade of the tree isn’t the worst thing that could happen. She did just take us for a long walk and down to the river for a while. Maybe we should listen to her?”
Sofie: “I will. But only this once and you better give me your cookie after dinner.”
Louise: “Here she comes, make like you didn’t mind waiting.”

Our blog friend Bassa (she is now on Facebook too) has this incredible perspective on things as she and her Tall person walk around their town of Tbilisi in the Republic of Georgia. So, when we were out walking today, the dogs notices a giant green dog guarding a house. This is something that Bassa would notice for sure. Louise asked me to take a picture of them with him. He did not say much to us and just sat there guarding.
The girls want him to come over and play in the yard but I told them that I think he is kind of ‘rooted’ at his house.

Lulu Dreaming
on Peanut’s Bed
Mommy has taken the younger human, Peanut, somewhere. We do not know where but we know that there were lots and lots of suitcases and bags and stuff that left the house and went into 2 of the big moving things with wheels that we ride in to go places. This seemed different than other times because almost all of Peanut’s stuff went with them. Will Mommy be back? Will we ever see Peanut again? Her room seems different. It is clean: there are no clothes or hair-things or shoes to chew on. I like Peanut’s bed and that is still there (thank goodness). She lets us on her bed (well me actually, Sofie does not really like to jump up so high). I like being on her bed (and so does Muffin and Nine). Mommy does not let us on her bed (but I know that Sofie sleeps there when no one is looking – she jumps on the stool at the end of the bed and uses it as a step). I do hope Mommy comes home soon because I always miss her when she is gone. Can I have Peanut’s room if she doesn’t come back soon?

If I let them I am sure that Sofie and Lulu would text all day long (or eat the phone).
