Remember last Mischief Monday when I was telling you that Mom gives me a special treat (because she loves me the most) when Louise and Sofie are not home. Well, last week she ran out of little dog bones and gave me one of Louise’s. I was in heaven.
I grabbed that thing with both paws and dragged it over to the best chewing spot on the rug and gnawed away at it. Mom had to take it away when the other’s were coming home so that they didn’t get jealous (or bite my head off, which is also possible).
Just because I’m little doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy big dog toys.
As you know, Louise and Sofie go to Sonya’s on Thursdays to run with the big dogs. I stay home and take care of Mom. Though I get a really special treat right after they leave (because Mom loves me best), I miss them when they are gone. I watch for them anxiously at the only window that I can see out of, the one over Mom’s piano. That’s why Mom calls me “The Piano Man.”
It works nicely as a lookout, don’t you think?
Even though Sofie is mean to me when she is home, I miss her when she is gone. Louise, of course, is my idol. She doesn’t cozy up to me as much as the cats do, but I really like to hang out with her.
I saw Louise try and look out the piano window the other day and Mom got really mad at her. I guess that is the benefit of being 15 lbs instead of 65.
Noel, the Christmas Cat, about a year old in this photo, and baby Constance Kitty, maybe 6 months, amazed by a bird or a bug out the window. Connie passed over the bridge at about 5 years old. Noel, as you know, is still staring out that window 11 years later.
